About Us

Betsy Helms began her work with therapeutic riding in 1996 at the Baptist Children’s Home in Salem, Virginia. From 2002-2010, she completed a series of internships at various horse-training facilities in Virginia. She competed as an All-American Athlete for Bridgewater College Equestrian Team while completing Equine classes with her Spanish Major and Family Consumer Science Minor. Betsy joined EQUI-KIDS as a member of the Barn Staff prior to becoming Barn Manager in June of 2011. She serves high school students as a YoungLife leader at Cape Henry Collegiate.

Betsy is an honors graduate of Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, Virginia.
