My breed is called Paint because of my spotted coloring. After years of service on the mounted patrol, there is nothing I haven’t seen or done. I’m a steady fellow always taking special care of my participant.

I’m a Halflinger pony that was rescued from a kill pen auction by my current owner who rehabbed me back to health. Then I began working as a dressage lesson pony before coming to EQUI-KIDS on loan as a therapy pony. I am in my 20s and going strong!

I am a Spotted Draft and quite the handsome fella among my fellow herd members. I am curious and have a playful personality, but I love my job as a therapy horse at EQUI-KIDS. I used to do Eventing, but I would much rather spend time with my participants at the farm.

I am a Fresian / Morgan Cross. I’m one of the youngest herd members, and my playful personality makes me a fan favorite in the barn. I used to Fox Hunt, Trail Ride, and dance my way across a Dressage arena.

I’m a 13-year-old Cleveland Bay. I have been with my owner since I was 3 years old. She rode me as a hunter and showed me locally. Now that she is raising her young kids, she has graciously loaned me to EQUI-KIDS to be a therapy horse. As a large horse, I am able to easily work with participants both big and small.

I’m a Spotted Draft horse with a huge heart and gentle nature. My nickname is “The Gentle Giant”.  I take excellent care of each and every participant who partners with me, either on the ground or in the saddle.

 I am an American Quarter Horse who loves my job at EQUI-KIDS. I used to do a lot of trail riding, but getting to interact with all of the participants and volunteers on the farm makes me a happy guy. I am patient and sweet-natured and enjoy greeting all of our guests when they tour the barn.

I’m a Clydesdale and one of the biggest horses in the herd. I am retired from the Virginia Beach Mounted Patrol Unit. Life as a police horse was pretty exciting, but I really enjoy being a part of the EQUI-KIDS herd. I am a giant teddy bear and love attention.

I’m a crossbreed of Welsh and Thoroughbred. I have a quiet disposition, and I’m a dedicated riding partner. When I’m in the pasture, I like to have fun and play catch me if you can with the humans, especially if they take my halter off.

I am an American Minature Horse and I’d like to think I’m the boss mare at the farm.  Those larger horses don’t have anything on me!  My son is Pepper and we both work in the program assisting in the therapeutic riding lessons and mental health programs.  I’m sweet and sassy and love it when folks come to visit.
