EQUI-KIDS is a local organization that provides equine therapy programs to Children (EQUI-KIDS), Veterans (EQUI-VETS) and First Responders (EQUI-HEROES) in Virginia Beach.

EQUI-KIDS is a local organization that provides equine therapy programs to Children (EQUI-KIDS), Veterans (EQUI-VETS) and First Responders (EQUI-HEROES) in Virginia Beach.

Started in 1989, EQUI-KIDS offers a variety of services, including therapeutic riding, therapeutic horsemanship, equine-assisted learning, and psychotherapy with licensed mental health providers. They also provide speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, job coaching, summer inclusion camps, and educational programs to individuals ranging in age from 5 into their 90s.

Their program serves 100-120 participants each week on their 90 acre farm off of Sandbridge Road. They work with children affected by Autism, Down Syndrome, Mosaic Syndrome, among a larger list of extraordinary and special abilities.
